Pastor Jim and Ginny Timms

Jim and Ginny both grew up in Chicago, Illinois.  Jim’s family moved to Lake Geneva in 1957.  Ginny’s family moved to Williams Bay in 1965.  After high school Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy and Ginny enrolled in Beloit College.  When Jim came home from the Navy they were married and both began attending the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater.

Ginny began teaching junior high school English in 1969 and Jim began a career in industrial sales in 1971.  They lived in Delavan for twenty-one years and have lived in Elkhorn since 1989.  They have one daughter and one grandson.      

Since 1978 the Timms’ have both been active in church and Christian school related activities.  Jim has been a student of the Bible having studied, developed teaching materials, and taught continually for more than thirty years.  He has led and chaired a Church Elder Board and a Christian School Board.  

He assumed the role of Pastor-Teacher at LBC on a part-time basis in May, 2005 while he wrapped up his career in sales.  He retired in November, 2005, began full-time as Pastor-Teacher in January, 2006, and was ordained to the gospel ministry in August, 2008.

Ginny is an accomplished pianist and the primary keyboard musician at LBC.  She retired from teaching in June, 2007.

They are both co-founders of Lighthouse Bible Church.
